Sensex up over 500pts; RCom surges 7%

The NSE Nifty is up 140 points at 4,128.

Reliance Infrastructure has zoomed 9.5% to Rs 827, and Jaiprakash (JP) Associates has soared 8.7% to Rs 171.

Reliance Communications (RCom) has surged 6.8% to Rs 444. ITC has rallied 5.7% to Rs 182.

ICICI Bank and Bharti Airtel have gained 5.5% each at Rs 627 and Rs 750, respectively.

DLF, Tata Motors and BHEL have moved up around 5% each to Rs 452, Rs 396 and Rs 1,571, respectively.

HDFC, Mahindra & Mahindra and TCS have advanced over 4% each to Rs 2,096, Rs 537 and Rs 860, respectively.

Out of 2,568 stocks traded, 2,014 have advanced, 500 have declined and 54 are unchanged.
