Markets remain listless
The Sensex is quoting at 16,859, up 69 points and the Nifty is at 5,012, higher by 24 points.
ITC is leading the pack of gainers, up around 4% points at Rs 257. HDFC and Hindalco have added over 3% each at Rs 2,677 and Rs 138 respectively.
M%M, Maruti, Wipro and Infosys went up by over 2% each.
Grasim is the top loser, having slipped 2% at Rs 2,163. Reliance is down over 2.2% and Larsen & Toubro has lost 2%.
The market breadth was positive. Out of 2,745 stocks traded on the BSE, there are 1,728 gainers as against 918 losers.
