Mentha oil declines by 0.2% on profit-booking

Increased arrivals from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh in the physical markets also put pressure on mentha oil

Mentha oil prices declined by 0.22% to Rs 863.30 per kg in futures trading today on profit-booking by speculators at existing higher levels, driven by a weak demand from consuming industries in the spot market.
 
Increased arrivals from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh in the physical markets also put pressure on mentha oil.
 
At the Multi Commodity Exchange market, mentha oil for delivery in November declined by Rs 1.90, or 0.22%, to Rs 863.30 per kg in business turnover of 129 lots.

Likewise, the oil for delivery in December shed Rs 1.30, or 0.15%, to Rs 876 per kg in 178 lots.
 
Analysts said the fall in mentha prices at futures trade was mostly due to profit-booking by speculators at higher levels, driven by a weak demand from consuming industries in the spot market amid increased arrivals from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh mainly influenced mentha oil prices.
