Mentha oil prices rose by Rs 5.80 to Rs 1,208 per kg in futures trade today on pick-up in demand from consuming industries against restricted arrivals from producing belts.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, the November contract for mentha oil rose by Rs 5.80, or 0.48%, to Rs 1,208 per kg in business turnover of 545 lots.
The december contract moved up by Rs 5.60, or 0.46%, to Rs 1,220.90 per kg in 20 lots.
Market analysts said besides pick-up in demand from consuming industries in the spot market, restricted arrivals from producing belts, mainly led to rise in mentha oil prices at futures trade.
