Mentha oil prices gained 1.83% to Rs 1,383 per kg in futures trade today on strong domestic as well as export-related demand against restricted arrivals from producing belts.
The December contract for mentha oil shot up by Rs 24.80, or 1.83 per cent, to Rs 1,383 per kg in business turnover of 1,091 lots.
The November contract jumped by Rs 24.10, or 1.79%, to Rs 1,368 per kg in 273 lots.
Market analysts said strong domestic and export-related demand in the spot market against limited arrivals from producing belts mainly pushed up mentha oil prices at futures trade.
They added that reports of lower output this year also supported the uptrend.
