Moth surges in thin trade

In thin trading, moth prices surged by Rs 400 per quintal on the wholesale pulses market today on brisk buying by stockists following a rise in demand from retailers.
Traders said brisk stockists buying due to a rise in demand from retailers mainly pushed up moth prices. In the national capital, moth shot up by Rs 400 to Rs 2,000-2,300 per quintal.
