Mustard, groundnut solvent oils up on local buying

Select edible oils, mustard and groundnut solvent, strengthened by up to Rs 100 per quintal on the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today on scattered buying by local parties.

Traders said fresh buying by local parties in view of the ongoing marriage season mainly pushed up mustard and groundnut solvent prices.

In the national capital, mustard expeller oil (Dadri) rose by Rs 100 to Rs 5,450 per quintal. Mustard pakki and kachi ghani oils traded higher by Rs 10 each to Rs 760-915 and Rs 915-1,015 per tin, respectively.

Groundnut solvent refined was also seen in demand and advanced by Rs 50 to Rs 1,400-1,410 per tin.
