Nifty back above 4,000-mark; L&T, ONGC up 6%

The Nifty is up 106 points at 4,003.

Wipro has zoomed over 6% to Rs 442.

Larsen & Toubro, Reliance Infrastructure and ONGC have surged around 6% each to Rs 2,270, Rs 744 and Rs 836, respectively.

Reliance Communications, Satyam and Infosys have rallied over 5.5% each to Rs 419, Rs 456 and Rs 1,806, respectively.

HDFC, Hindalco and DLF have gained 4% each at Rs 1,912, Rs 139 and Rs 383, respectively.

BHEL, HDFC Bank and SBI have moved up 3.7% each to Rs 1,406, Rs 1,002 and Rs 1,062, respectively.

Tata Steel has advanced 3.5% to Rs 722.

ITC and Tata Motors have slipped around 2.5% each to Rs 179 and Rs 398, respectively.

ACC has shed 1.5% at Rs 498.

Out of 2,654 stocks traded so far, 1,558 have declined, 1,034 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
