Pistachio prices dip on sluggish demand

Pistachio prices drifted by Rs 50 per kg in the national capital today on sluggish demand from retailers and stockists.

Adequate stock position following increased arrivals from overseas markets also put pressure on pistachio prices.

Pistachio (hairati and peshawari) declined by Rs 50 each to settle at Rs 1,450-1,500 and Rs 1,650-1,700 per kg, respectively.

Traders said subdued demand from retailers and stockists against increased arrivals, mainly pulled down pistachio prices at the wholesale dry fruit market here.

Meanwhile, prices ruled steady to weak amid thin trading and lacklustre demand.
