Refined palmolein rule weak in lacklustre trade

Refined palmolein continued to rule weak in an otherwise lacklustre oils and oilseeds market here today on hectic stockists offloading, amid lack of buying support.  

While groundnut oil, castorseeds bold, castor oil commercial and linseed oil held steady in the absence of any worthwhile buying activity.  

Castorseed futures witnessed speculative activity to end lower on the back of subdued export enquiries. 

In the edible oil segment, refined palmolein eased by another Rs 4 per 10 kg to Rs 556 from yesterday's closing level of Rs 560. Groundnut oil closed unchanged at Rs 740 per 10 kg.

Turning to futures section, castorseeds for June delivery resumed higher at Rs 4,620 and traded in a range between Rs 4,640 and Rs 4,581 before finishing at Rs 4,596 as against Rs 4,604 yesterday, showing a loss of Rs 8 per tonne. 

However, castorseeds bold, castor oil commercial and linseed oil ended stable at Rs 5,100, Rs 1,050 and Rs 660 respectively.
