Sensex ends up 121pts at 9,689

The Sensex opened 65 points higher at 9,633. The index, however, could not hold gains and slipped into the negative zone to touch low of 9,547.

Aggressive buying in capital goods, realty and healthcare stocks saw the index touch a high of 9,826 in the the last trading trading session.

The Sensex finally ended (provisional) with a gain of 121 points at 9,689.

The market breadth was positive - out of 2,538 stocks traded, 1,547 advanced, 903 declined and 88 were unchanged today.
