Sensex extends losses; Jaiprakash, RCom drop 3%

The NSE Nifty is down 44 points at 4,460

ONGC has surged 3.4% to Rs 883. HDFC has gained 2.7% at Rs 2,298.

Ambuja Cements has advanced over 1% to Rs 90.

Jaiprakash Associates and Reliance Communications (RCom) has dropped around 3% each to Rs 172 and Rs 511, respectively.

Cipla and HDFC Bank have slipped 2% each to Rs 213 and Rs 1,100, respectively.

Reliance, SBI and Reliance Infrastructure have declined around 1.5% each to Rs 2,212, Rs 1,282 and Rs 999, respectively.

Maruti has shed 1.3% at Rs 737. Bharti Airtel, TCS and DLF are down 1% each at Rs 797, Rs 877 and Rs 474, respectively.
