Tata Steel down 3%; Ambuja Cements gains 5%

ICICI Bank has tumbled 4.1% to Rs 787. Tata Steel and HDFC Bank have plunged 3.1% each to Rs 823 and Rs 1,170, respectively.

Jaiprakash Associates has slipped 2.8% to Rs 182. Larsen & Toubro has lost 2.7% to Rs 2,762.

DLF and Bharti Airtel have declined 2.5% each to Rs 493 and Rs 813, respectively.

SBI and Reliance Infrastructure have dropped 2.4% each to Rs 1,353 and Rs 1,078, respectively.

Satyam and Infosys have lost 2.3% each at Rs 473 and Rs 1,870, respectively.

Ambuja Cements has soared 5.2% to Rs 91. Ranbaxy is up 3.1% at Rs 599.

Grasim has gained 2.4% to Rs 2,230. ACC and ITC have advanced 1.3% each to Rs 646 and Rs 206, respectively.

HDFC has moved up 1.2% to Rs 2,326, while Hindalco has added 1.1% at Rs 175.

The markets breadth is marginally negative - out of 2,692 stocks traded so far, 1,345 have declined, 1,273 have advanced and 74 are unchanged.
