Ultratech Cement shares increased 5.62 per cent to Rs 411.7, after Aditya-Birla group cement shipments rose 7.4 per cent y-o-y to 3 million tonnes (MT) along with production rising 9.8 per cent to 3.04 MT. The group cement business includes Ultratech Cement and Grasim Industries.
The stock made an intraday high of Rs 416.65 and a low of Rs 392 with trading volumes of 11,552 shares, around half of its two-week average. The scrip made a 52-week high of Rs 940 (March 12, 2008) and a low of Rs 250 (November 25, 2009).
