Audi has revealed the Q7at the Detroit Motor Show and one of our readers from Slovokia, has sent us the images of the new-generation Audi Q7. This was supposedly a petrol engine, and we reckon it will be the 3.0-litre V6 petrol engine. The new-generation Audi Q7 is 325kgs lighter than its predecessor and it should be launched in North America and Europe by mid of 2015. This is the first time the Q7 has been spotted without camouflage since its unveil at the Detroit Motor Show.
The design of the new Q7 is masculine and determined. Horizontal lines extend above the wheels. The external mirrors are mounted on the shoulders of the doors; blades run from the front to the rear doors and then there are the embossed quattro logos.
All engines are linked to an eight-speed tip-tronic transmission that spins all four wheels quattro all-wheel drive system. For India, the Audi Q7 will get a 3.0-litre diesel engine and a 3.0-litre petrol engine, might be a part of the plan too. It will be in Slovokia that the Audi Q3 will be manufactured and shall be sold in India as well. The instrument panel is separated horizontally into two colors, which enables brighter colors to be used on the bottom. There are seven interior colors from which to choose. The two-piece application strip is available in a variety of material combinations.
Audi equips the big SUV standard with a newly developed, two-zone deluxe air conditioning system. Its new operating concept uses fewer buttons and controls. Animated symbols in the display, the high-quality TFT display and the capacitive toggle switches provide for intuitive operation of the air conditioning. The modular infotainment platform (MIB) is an important system component here. The new Q7 is equipped with the second generation of the MIB, which includes a quad-core T30 processor from Audi's partner NVIDIA.
