There have been rumours floating about Nissans Terrano AWD (all-wheel-drive) coming out this year, as the Duster AWD was introduced last year. As per the deal between the two companies, whenever there is a sharing of any products, the re-badged product will be launched after a year.

For this year, a lot of rumours were floating on the web mentioning that the Terrano AWD is now ready and will be available in the second half of 2015. MotorOctane has learnt from its sources that the Terrano AWD might just take a bit longer than the rumours as the contract between Renault and Nissan for the Terrano AWD is yet to be signed.

Guillaume Sicard, President -Nissan India Operations told MotorOctane Nissan has registered a steady growth in sales owing to strong cross-segmentproductsfrom both Nissan and Datsun brands, offering distinctive, attractive, accessible products that fit perfectly into their everyday lives.

It isnt a long process but ideally this should have been done by now. We do not have numbers of Duster AWDs that are sold but the percentage is fairly less and there isnt a huge market at least at the moment. The Terrano is definitely one of Nissans best-selling vehicles and we can expect them to get in the AWD too. In this financial year, Nissan has been a growth of 45.5 percent. Now, with the GO+, there should be an increase its sales figures in the last three months of this financial year.
