Renault Duster 2WD gets interior upgrade

The recently introduced Renault Duster AWD got some interior upgrades like a brand new three-spoke steering wheel, new instrument cluster with three-dials, new steering column mounted audio controls, cruise controls and some upgrades to the interior plastic quality also.

The Duster 2WD also gets these upgrades. The only changes that go missing on the conventional Duster are the red-colour seats and this compact SUV in its front-wheel drive avatar even gets rear AC vents on the top-of-the-line RxZ Option variant. The Duster is available with two state-of-tunes on the 1.5-litre diesel engine. There is the 83bhp diesel that comes mated to a five-speed manual transmission. This is the ideal option for city driving as it is a lot more drivable in traffic and also returns better economy. The 108bhp comes with a six-speed simple stick shift box that is ideal for highway driving. Both the engine variants of Duster get the interior upgrade.

We couldn't get connected to Renault India, however on speaking with a Renault dealership we learnt that these changes were implemented after the launch of the Duster AWD. The upgraded Duster interiors without any change in the pricing makes Duster even a better value for money product.

This financial year so far, Renault has sold 28,975 units of which the December sales were 3257 units. Renault will soon be introducing the Lodgy by February or March 2015. Recently, the Lodgy was showcased at the Star Guild Awards, with Hritik Roshan being the first customer of this MPV. This is a seven-seater MPV that is based on the Renault Duster platform and will soon be made available in the dealerships.
