A 13-year-old boy lost his life after he fell into a hole dug near Karkardooma at an under construction Metro site.
As told by the eyewitnesses, the boy named Kartik was playing in the area along with his friends. The boy slipped into a nearby hole containing around twenty feet deep water and lost his life.
A relative of the child said, "We were informed about Kartik's demise and we rushed to the hospital where he was declared dead."
"He came along five of his friends to play in the ground. Out of which two fell into the hole. The other one survived. This water is contained here by the metro officials to be used during the metro construction work", he added.
Kartik was a student of eighth class studying in a government school at Kiran Vihar. Police has sent the body for postmortem.
