The nods of the most-awaited 2016 CFDA Awards are out with fashion designers like Marc Jacobs, Altuzarra, Proenza Schouler, Rodarte, Rag and Bone, Thom Browne, Mansur Gavriel, The Row competing to win big at the award ceremony, which will be held on June 6.
The late singer David Bowie will be given the Board of Directors' tribute at the award ceremony, while Gucci's Alessandro Michele will be honored with the International Award, E! Online reports.
In addition to this, Donna Karan will be honored with the Founder's Award in Honor of Eleanor Lambert and Norma Kamali will be given the Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award.
The Council of Fashion Designers of America's site says that the star-studded event will highlight the individuals who have shaped American fashion from all areas of the industry and related arts, adding that the awards are being given for design excellence in womenswear, menswear, and accessories as well as extraordinary accomplishments in journalism, creative vision, and lifetime achievement."
Last year, Ashley Olsen and Mary-Kate Olsen won for Womenswear Designer of the Year for their higher-end line, The Row.
Tom Ford took home the award of Menswear Designer of the Year, while Tabitha Simmons earned top honors for Accessories Designer of the Year for her eponymous line.
Past recipients of the Fashion Icon Award also include Rihanna, Johnny Depp, Lady Gaga, Iman and Kate Moss.
