Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Shazia Ilmi's brother Aijaz Ilmi joined hands with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday, and said that he had been in talks with the party for the past two months.
"I was in talks with the BJP for the past two months. Although, I had taken the decision long back, I could not join them officially due to the busy schedules of the BJP leaders. It finally happened today," said Ilmi.
"Our family has always been associated with politics, and I am not a member of AAP. I have joined hands with the BJP today, and I will campaign wherever the party asks me to," he said.
