A Chennai-bound Air India (AI) flight with 172 passengers on board developed a hydraulic problem while landing on Wednesday.

Chennai airport director Deepak Shastri told ANI that the landing of the Air India flight was delayed by 15 to 20 minutes due to the problem.

"It was a minor incident, which was caused because of a technical issue of the aircraft. It did not affect flights. There were no diversions. The runway was opened in 15 minutes," he added.

Two other flights were diverted and their landings were delayed because of the problem.
