An American newspaper apologized after it referred to President Barack Obama using the 'N'-word in an opinion piece published in its July edition.
WestView News, a newspaper published from New York has hogged headlines ever since it used the racist slur in one of its headlines in reference to Obama. According to The Independent, the opinion piece which used the N-word was written by James Lincoln Collier and was titled "The N***** in the White House."
Although the headline referred to Obama as a 'N*****' yet it wasn't racist in tone and tenor. In fact, it slammed the far-right voters for hating Obama because of his colour.
The 86-year old WestView News Chief Executive Officer, George Capsis has admitted that the decision to use the word was wrong and sought an apology publically, the report added. He also accepted that he did not pay heed to his staffs' advice when they warned him against using the word and added that he was wrong.
