An army soldier was killed and three others injured in an IED blast on Thursday morning in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch District.
According to a defence spokesman in Jammu, Sepoy Shankar Singh was part of an army patrol that was targeted by alleged militants at approximately 8.30 a.m. this morning.
The spokesman confirmed the death of Sepoy Shankar Singh. He also said the injured have been moved to the nearest military hospital for treatment. The army soldiers were attached to the Gambhir Battalion of the Indian Army.
