Haryana Chief Minister B.S. Hooda filed his nomination papers here on Friday for the October 15 Haryana State Assembly elections.
"People of Haryana will elect Congress for the third time for the further development that we have done in last nine and a half years," Hooda said after filing the nomination papers.
Launching a full frontal attack on his rival and former chief minister of Haryana Om Prakash Chautala, Hooda said, "O P Chautala is saying he will take the oath for Chief Minister even from jail, then will Vidhan Sabha will also be formed in Jail?"
Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) supremo Om Prakash Chautala, who is out on bail for medical reasons after being sentenced to ten years in jail in the junior basic teachers' recruitment scam, said during his party's rally on Thursday, that if needed he will take oath from Tihar Jail for the position of CM.
The rally was organized to mark the 100th anniversary of his father Devi Lal.
The results for the Haryana Assembly elections will be counted on 19th October.
