Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has granted No Objection Certificate (NOC) to all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan, allowing him to play in the upcoming UAE T20x tournament.

Consequently, the 31-year-old, who had sustained a finger injury, is likely to participate in the tournament which is starting from December 23.

Reflecting on the same, the left-arm bowler said that he would possibly return to training after which he will decide whether to play or not.

"The physio and I have decided not to put a time frame for my return. Possibly I will start training shortly. I have to start strength training from next week. When I will start improving gradually, and I will see that I don't have problems in playing, I can think of returning to action. Until then, I wouldn't want to return, neither the physio will let me," ESPNcricinfo.com quoted Hasan, as saying.

Speaking about the importance of the tournament, he said that the comeback would help him getting back into full rhythm.

"It will be good preparation for me if I can be fit for these matches. I need these matches to get back from a major injury and into full rhythm," he stated.

UAE T20x is a Twenty20 franchise cricket tournament slated to be held in the United Arab Emirates. It is the first franchise T20 league to be held in UAE.
