Bengaluru Police on Friday summoned former Karnataka chief minister B.S. Yeddyurappa in connection with the kidnapping case of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader K S Eshwarappa's personal assistant Vinay Kumar.
Yeddyurappa will appear before police on September 28.
Reportedly, police earlier questioned Yedurappa's relative and personal assistant for long hours in the regard.
On May 11, a gang had allegedly attempted to kidnap Vinay near ISKCON temple.
When Vinay protested and screamed for the help, the kidnappers fled from the spot.
