Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Tariq Anwar on Wednesday said that the Bihar Assembly polls will be a turning point for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), because if it fails, its progress will come to a standstill.
"It will be a turning point for the BJP as well as Indian politics, because if they fail in Bihar, their progress will come to a halt," Anwar told ANI.
"It is sad that several districts in Bihar are Naxal-prone and it is a matter of concern," he added.
The Bihar Assembly will go to polls in five phases. Voting for the first phase will be held on October 12, for second on October 16, for third on October 28, fourth on November 1 and fifth on November 5.
The counting of votes will take place on November 8.
