Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Anil Mukhiya was shot dead by some unknown assailants in Bihar's Saharsa district this afternoon.
According to reports, Mukhiya was returning from the market when some unknown assailants fired at him near Rahua Chowk.
The police have started a search operation to nab the culprits.
This incident comes two weeks after a district president of the RJD's youth wing was gunned down in the district on April 16.
