Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders here on Sunday expressed confidence over Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Brazil to attend the Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa (BRICS) summit.

Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar said, "We will place our views effectively under Modi's leadership, we can expect a positive outcome from his visit."

Similarly, BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi added, "This will have a great impact and prove to be very beneficial for India."

Earlier today, Modi had left to attend the BRICS summit in Brazil.

The Summit's theme is, "Inclusive Growth; Sustainable Development", and is expected to enable shaping up of the post-2015 Development Agenda being discussed in the United Nations.

The Summit will also be an occasion for his first meetings with the leaders of Brazil, China, Russia and South Africa, ever since he took up office.

Prior to his departure Modi had also made a statement, highlighting the importance of BRICS forum for India.
