The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Core Group, which met here on Tuesday to discuss the political situation in Uttar Pradesh, has decided that Gujarat Chief Minister and Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi will be addressing eight rallies across the state.
BJP leader Rameshwar Chaurasia said that his party has still not decided as to who will contest from where in the 2014 Lok Sabha polls.
"Who will fight from where has not been decided yet, but we have planned eight rallies of Modiji in UP," said Chaurasia.
The BJP Core Group meeting, which was chaired by party chief Rajnath Singh, was attended by party office-bearers from Uttar Pradesh and the leaders in-charge.
The BJP, which fine tuned its strategy in today's meeting, is hoping to aggressively project itself in the state.
