Union Minister for Minority Affairs K. Rahman Khan called on Bangladeshi President Mohammad Abdul Hamid in Dhaka today.
Both leaders discussed progress in bilateral ties between the two nations.
He also called on Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Rahman Khan is on an official visit to Bangladesh from September 14-18 at the invitation of Bangladesh's State Minister for Religious Affairs Mohammad Shahjahan Mian.
During his meeting with Mian, issues relating to the welfare of minorities and the management of shrines, Waqf and Haj, were raised.
Rahman Khan also met representatives of various religious communities in Bangladesh.
He also visited Chittagong, Rangamati and Dhaka.
