Six-time Olympic champion Usain Bolt has backed Mo Farah who has been facing huge criticism post doping allegations against his coach Alberto Salazar.

The Jamaican said that he was sorry for Farah as people are just trying to tear him down, the Daily Express reported.

He insisted that the British sprinter has worked very hard to reach where he is today, adding that Farah should not take these criticisms seriously.

He added that it was part of sport to face criticism from the people and, therefore, he shouldn't be stressed about it.

Earlier, the Double Olympic and World Champion Farah had insisted that he has answered all the questions regarding doping allegations against his coach and has nothing more to say.

The Briton came under heavy scrutiny after an investigation alleged that Salazar, who was hired as Farah's coach in 2011, doped United States 10,000 metre record holder Galen Rupp in 2002, when the athlete was 16 years old.

Farah and Bolt both will take part in their respective events at the Sainsbury's Anniversary Games on Friday as part of their preparations for the world championships in Beijing next month.
