A bomb threat has been reported at the venue in Zurich, Switzerland, where the FIFA Congress is to meet today to elect its president.
According to a television channel report, the bomb was discovered at the lunch break and all officials were moved out safely.
"I can confirm there has been a bomb threat against the FIFA Congress, officers have been dispatched" the spokeswoman for the Swiss police said.
It has been reported that FIFA secretary will soon issue an official statement about the incident.
FIFA had been in the news after it was plunged into the most serious scandal in its history on Wednesday football officials were arrested in Zurich on corruption charges.
