England captain Alastair Cook who just needs 32 runs to overtake Graham Gooch, says that he is nowhere near his class, and wouldnt have made half the runs if Gooch had not been his mentor.
Cook has declared Gooch as one of Englands greatest batsman in Tests.
Cook said that it would be a lovely moment, adding that there would be one Graham Gooch and he was greatest England batsman, the Mirror reported.
He insisted that getting past Gooch wont be enough for the game and he needed to score big hundreds and big scores.
England who won the thrilling Lords Test against New Zealand by 124 runs would now be looking to back it up with another good performance at Headingley and win the series.
