A survey conducted from Australia to America found that Britain is the road rage capital of the world and has the most hot-headed drivers outstripping countries traditionally seen as the most aggressive on roads.

The survey of 20 countries for LeasePlan, which manages company vehicles, said that 76 percent of drivers in Britain have come across aggressive gestures on roads.

According to the Daily Express, the survey finds that 53 percent of drivers have been the target of verbal aggression while 73 percent of British drivers have seen their path blocked by angry drivers.

Turkey was the politest country where the percentage of drivers who have witnessed aggression on roads was much lesser, according to the survey.

India, which is traditionally seen as having the most aggressive drivers, has only 52 percent of drivers who have experienced aggressive gestures on roads and only 44 percent have been the target of verbal aggression.

Matt Dyer, Managing Director at LeasePlan UK, blamed Britain's overcrowded congested road network for aggression on roads.
