Thousands of Buddhist monks and their followers from foreign countries gathered at Bodh Gaya are going to participate in the 9th International "Tipitaka Chanting Ceremony"
Buddhist monks will gather and will chant from the sacred texts during the ceremony, which will begin from Monday and would conclude on Friday.
Monks from countries like Bangladesh, Cambodia, Laos, Nepal, Myanmar, Thailand, Sri Lanka and Vietnam will be participating in the event
"The purpose of the programme is for all the great Sanghas, from all of these nine countries to come together under one umbrella, the umbrella being the Bodhi tree and for us to have the same message of peace through our Lord Buddha," said Bango Dixy, an organizer of the ceremony.
