McLaren driver Jenson Button has revealed that he won't be calling the quits on his Formula One career after his 15th season even though he is out of contract with his current team.
Button, who has for the first time since 2008 has not won a race since 2012 as McLaren have failed to give him a competitive car, said he enjoys his job and wants to be in a competitive car next year, adding that he definitely wants to be in Formula One.
According to the Mirror, the Brit, who is without points in three successive races for the first time since he joined McLaren in 2010, said that this sort of season does not make one want to retire, because if one does retire, he wants to do it on a high.
The 2009 Formula One world champion said that the biggest problem is that he needs to be in a car that is competitive because that gives him confidence as a driver as well.
The 34-year old, who is the second oldest man on the grid, added that it is a difficult decision for a driver in his position, as he is a driver with so much to deliver.
However, the Brit said that he is in a position in his career where he only has a few years where he would be in motor racing and he wants to be in a position where he is close to winning races.
