Capitol Hill's biggest 'Batman' enthusiast Senator Patrick Leahy believes that Ben Affleck is a fine selection for the role.
Leahy, who is a Vermont Democrat, took to Twitter saying that Affleck is a great pick for Batman, the Washington Times reported.
The 'Gone Baby Gone' star, who grew up in Massachusetts, would be portraying the caped crusader and his alter ego, Bruce Wayne, in the upcoming Batman/Superman film.
The 41-year-old actor has replaced Christian Bale, who helped revitalize the 'Batman' movie franchise with 2005's 'Batman Begins'.
Leahy has had brief cameo appearances in three Batman films, most notably in 2008's 'The Dark Knight.
