Chelsea captain John Terry has reportedly extended his career at Stamford Bridge until 2015 by signing a new one-year contract extension.
The previous Chelsea deal of the 78-times capped former England captain, who made his senior debut in 1998, was due to expire this summer.
According to the BBC, the defender, who has played 421 times for Chelsea in the Premier League and has scored 34 goals, expressed his delight at the contract extension taking him into his 20th year with the club and thanked the fans, manager Jose Mourinho and the club for their continued support.
Hailing Terry, Chelsea chief executive Ron Gourlay said that they are pleased to have Terry continue to lead the team next season, as he has done for so many years with 'unrivalled achievement'.
Terry has made 621 appearances for Chelsea, winning three Premier League titles, five FA Cups, two League Cups, the Champions League and the Europa League, the report added.
