Chelsea have reportedly triggered their number one transfer target Diego Costa's release clause from Atletico Madrid after agreeing a fee of 32 million-pound with the Spanish club.
With the new agreement Costa is reportedly free to discuss personal terms with Chelsea that would see him triple his wages to 1,50,000 pounds-a-week.
According to the Daily Star, Chelsea have been eyeing Costa for some time now and have also been desperate to get the deal done as early as possible to enable boss Jose Mourinho to decide what to do with the club's current strikers.
Mourinho has reportedly been moaning about his lack of fire-power all season and Costa is the man Chelsea wants to build their attack around.
Chelsea are aiming to wrap up the deal before the World Cup and are moving fast to avoid any potential rise in value of the Brazilian-born-Spaniard, the report added.
