China's Foreign Ministry has said that it will take steps to boost counter-terrorism cooperation with key ally Pakistan.

Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Geng Shuang was quoted by Radio Pakistan, as saying that his country strongly condemns Monday's suicide bomb attack in Lahore, which claimed the lives of 13 people and injured many others.

Geng Shuang used the platform of his regular briefing of the media to say that China has highly commended Pakistan's counter-terrorism efforts and that Beijing has offered to further enhance its cooperation with Islamabad to wipe out this menace.
