Chris Brown could be saved from going to jail as a secret witness has come forward to stand up for the star after he was arrested and charged with felony assault last week.
The 24-year-old American recording artist got into a fight with a man, who was then allegedly hospitalized by Brown after he hit him leaving him with a broken nose, outside W hotel in Washington, the Mirror reported.
According to TMZ, a witness, who is said to be a member of the Secret Service and was on patrol at the time, told a Washington D.C. police officer that he heard the alleged victim admitting that the 'Forever' singer did not hit him.
It is believed that Brown has been ordered to remain at least 100 yards away from the alleged victim and had checked into a rehab after his release in a bid to beat his anger issues.
