Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday laid the foundation for "Universal Peace Retreat Center" of 'Prajapita Brahmakumari Eswariya University'.

The Andhra Pradesh government has allotted 10 acres of land for this center at Nekkollu village within the Amaravati capital region.

Chief of Brahmakumaris, Dr. Janaki Dadi, the organization's representatives from all over India are participating in the event.

"This is a historical moment. At 102 years of age, Dadiji prayed for all of us. We've to appreciate her. This is a sacred n spiritual program. Here Brahmakumaris are going to build Universal Peace Retreat Center," said Chief Minister Naidu while addressing the media here.

The peace retreat center will be built with a capacity of shelter for 1500. An auditorium with 2000 seating, a meditation hall, a seminar hall with high-end facilities, a museum, laser show and a housing complex will be part of this center.

The center will propagate and teach Raja yoga, Dhyana, Youth development, women empowerment, stress relief activities, child care, positive attitude, life skills and moral values.

"United Nations had given Peace Messenger award to BK as a token to their services. I had given 34 acres to BKs in Hyderabad, in the prime location of IT hub. Today that center is serving for mental peace of the society," he added.

Chief Minister Naidu emphasised on the fact that his government is constructing Amaravati at a grand scale.

"Many schools, hospitals, corporate companies are coming here. Brahmakumaris only can fill the spiritual requirements of Amaravati," he added.
