Congress Spokesperson Meem Afzal on Sunday condemned the deadly terror attack in a mall in Nairobi.
"I think terrorism has become a huge challenge in front of us. I think the entire nation should work together in eradicating terrorism," he said.
Two Indians, including an 8-year-old boy, were among 39 killed and four other community members injured in the attack by armed terrorists on an upscale mall in Nairobi in Kenya on Saturday.
While one of the victims 40-year-old Sridhar Natarajan was working with a pharma firm, the boy Paramshu Jain was the son of a manager of the local Bank of Baroda branch, spokesperson in the Ministry of External Affairs said.
Meanwhile, Sridhar's family said that they were in touch with Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) officials in the wake of the horrific incident and pleaded for privacy at this difficult time.
"We have been informed that Manjula is critical while her husband Sridhar Natarajan has succumbed to the injuries. This is difficult time for the family and we are trying to find more information. We are in touch with the relevant authorities in the MEA and we appreciate their help. As we decide the next steps, we will appreciate if our privacy, in this difficult hour, is respected," Sridhar's family said in a statement.
