Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday hit back at the Congress for its unwarranted criticism of the NDA regime and asked the grand old party to ponder as to why it was rejected by the nation.
"They (Congress) thought they will govern the nation generations after generations. They are not ready to accept democracy and they still do not know why they lost," Prime Minister Modi said while addressing a rally here.
"I want to warn the leaders of the Congress Party and ask them to think as to why did the people of the nation reject you. Calculate how you became 40 from 400. If you abuse Modi, 40 won't increase to 400," he added.
