Congress leader Meem Afzal on Sunday said Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev should get study the uniform taxation policy before commenting on it.

Questioning Ramdev's knowledge about Uniform Taxation and Black Money, Afzal said, "He can only do bogus talks. He has created certain issues all by himself but doesn't know a bit about them."

"He should study detailed information about uniform taxation before commenting on it. There are many countries in Africa who levies this tax but he should get the information about its merits from there," he added.

Samajwadi Party leader Naresh Agarwal said, "It is very sad that Yoga gurus and Mahatmas of our country are indulging in politics. I think it is best if they do what they are good at and should avoid getting into politics."

"I think it proves that the BJP is weak and is low on self confidence. That why are taking help of Yoga Gurus and Sadhus. It has never happened nor will happen in the Samajwadi Party," he added.

Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev on Saturday had asked who could be more disastrous for the country than the Congress itself, and had added that the support to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi will be issue based.

Addressing a press conference, Ramdev said, "Who can be more disastrous for the country than the Congress itself? Modi is seen as a disastrous figure by the Congress because this is what he will cause to them in the elections."

On Saturday, Baba Ramdev had said, "Support to Modi will be on issues. Nation is built on policies, personality and intention. If policies of Modi and the charter of the BJP are in favour of bringing back the black money and tackling the corruption in this country, then we will be making an announcement regarding this year's Lok Sabha elections."

He said the Prime Minister has accepted his failure, in tackling corruption, price rise and poverty in the country, in his interaction with the media.

He stressed on removal of all the taxes paid by the citizen and said due to wrong policies of the Congress led-UPA Government, there is inflation in the country. He said there should be only one tax that should be levied ---- the Bank Transaction Tax (BTT), which should be of one percent. He also demanded that 500 and 1000 rupees notes should be rolled back.
