Congress takes BJP to task over alleged U-turns

Launching a frontal attack on the BJP-led NDA Government, the Congress on Monday released a book titled "6 Maheene Paar U-Turn SARKAR" and accused the Centre of not delivering the promises made to the nation.

"The government made tall promises to the people but did not deliver them. The government has taken 25 U-turns in the last 180 days," Congress leader Ajay Maken said while unveiling the book.

"We have analyzed the decisions taken by the BJP in last six months, we have also analyzed the statements made by the BJP leaders. We have tried to come out with a book, which compares the views of BJP leaders on issues before the elections and how they turned back on the their promises on the same issues after coming to power," he added.

Maken also took a jibe at the Centre over the black money issue.

"We are also waiting when Rs. 15 lakh will be credited to our accounts as was said by Prime Minister Modi," he said.
