A police constable at Chikmagalur district in Karnataka was suspended for dragging out an old man from a temple.

The incident took place on Monday at Shringeri Sharadamba Temple, when the old man was allegedly forcibly taken out by a policeman, as the old worshipper tried to enter the temple.

Former prime minister HD Deve Gowda's family was inside the temple at the time of the incident.

In an amateur video, the constable can be seen holding the old devotee by his shirt collar and dragging him out of the temple.
