Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Najam Sethi has said that a Supreme Court ruling has established him as the rightful head of the board.

Speaking to reporters outside the court in Lahore, Sethi said: "The PCB petition has been accepted by the Supreme Court which has overruled the IHC's judgment."

He said that as per the ruling, he was back as the rightful chief of the PCB.

The Dawn quoted Sethi, as saying that the prime minister, who is the patron of the board, will have to name an election commissioner and acting chairman prior to the elections. That's when the management committee and he would be relieved of their duties.
