Communist Party of India (CPI) leader D Raja on Tuesday called for improved coordination between the Government and the Centre, as the border state is both strategic and sensitive.
"There should be a proper coordination between State the state government and union government," he said.
"A proper exchange of intelligence inputs is important to ensure the stability of Manipur." Raja said.
"The people of Manipur are agitating over the inner line permit issue, which is why the situation should have been monitored by both the state and union governments .They should co ordinate to decide whether it is the right time to go for such legislations or not."
"The opinion of the people, the ongoing agitation and the nature of an issue, should have been taken into consideration." Raja said.
